On October 11, 2019, a revised version of Directive PNG016: Acknowledgement of Reclamation Requirements (Directive PNG016) came into effect.  The in-force version of Directive PNG016 may be found at Directive PNG016.  Please ensure that your organization is aware of and follows the requirements as outlined in Directive PNG016. The revised Directive PNG016 aims to streamline the Ministry of Energy and Resources’ processes for reviewing and approving applications for an Acknowledgement of Reclamation (AOR) pursuant to The Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, 2012.  This is accomplished by establishing “routine” and “non-routine” AOR application types and through the introduction of risk-based sub-types of non-routine AOR applications, namely “Risk-Based Site Closures” and “Administrative Controls”.
